Double braid nylon line

Nylon is normally considered the standard for dock lines, mooring lines and anchor lines.  The two most used types are 3 strand nylon and double braid nylon.  Both types have their fans and both are great workhorses.  My purpose today is to mention the main advantages of db nylon rope.  First, it feels nice and smooth as it runs through your hands.  Second, it does not (hockle) tangle.  Third, it is about 10% stronger than 3 strand. Lastly, it stretches less.  The last factor is an advantage in terms of keeping your boat in place, but can be a disadvantage in severe conditions when a little extra stretch can be an advantage extending the point when the line will break.   I hope this information helped either as a review or new facts.
Remember, we are here to help. If you have a question, please ask.  We take pride in helping boaters select the right line for their needs. We sell American made products only and our price, our quality, our guarantee, our service and our honesty can't be beat.  Thanks, John
