ROPE REVIEW

NYLON - Ropes made of nylon are very strong and have the ability to stretch under loads so they are especially well suited for dock lines, anchor lines and mooring pendants.

POLYESTER - Ropes made of polyester are strong and stretch very little.  They are ideal for running rigging on sailboats for both halyards and sheets.

POLYPROPYLENE - Ropes made of polypropylene are not as strong as nylon or polyester, but is great for light loads and they float. They work as excellent "man overboard ropes", especially in their popular yellow color.

MASTER MARINE LINES recommends American made ropes which meet the specifications of the Cordage Institute.  American made ropes of this type are the only type we sell.
